August Alsina – Lonely

I be working on Friday’s! Next up on my review list is a track by ‘the makeup wearing’ August Alsina.

My homie told me he thinks August Alsina is a lot more feminine now, and it shows in his music topics – it’s almost like his music has gotten a lot more ‘In his feelingsy’ sounding (Remember, dude started off with some hood s–t!). On this song he’s talking about being lonely, which contradicts the meaning of testosterone.

Vocally, August sounds great, as he smoothly navigates through the uptempo track. Do I think the topic and the beat is a bit corny? Yes I do.
