Katy Perry makes some really good music guys, she just doesn’t make music very often… This track called ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ featuring Skip Marley is a really good track to begin that comeback with.

You know what? More than anything, this track is safe: it relies on its rhythm to catch the listeners ears, along with a very sing-along friendly chorus and verse.

It doesn’t matter which Marley it is, I’m just f–kin’ with that accent slime.

  1. I wasn’t a huge fan of this one, I thought the chorus was kind of weak? What do you think?

    1. I thought she kept it really safe on the chorus (which is a good thing). It’ll be something that will be catchy enough to stick. I love your opinion though! It’s interesting to hear another perspective.

      1. There’s definitely catchy parts for sure! I just felt like the way she says “to the rhythm” felt weird. Almost like there were too many syllables that didn’t fit in the beat haha

      2. For sure! All it means is that she didn’t write it! Hahaha

      3. That was an excellent observation though

      4. Hahaha thanks! By the way, I’m part of a growing community on Facebook for music writers, would love to have you share your work in our group! https://www.facebook.com/groups/musicmoguls/

      5. That’ll be dope! Let me know how it works and I can contribute.
