To the best of my knowledge (Which is usual not that great), Prince created this song some time around 2006-2008. What makes artists like prince great is that, his music usually is timeless.
The soul is extremely evident on this song, as Prince sings over this slow paced church-inspired sound. He sings at a really high note throughout, reminding individuals that he can get up there with the other greats vocally.
This would’ve been a major Billboard hit if it was released.
