I’m sure David Banner is a better man today then he was yesterday, but I kinda miss ignorant David Banner music.
This song has an urgent sound to it that lets you know that you should probably pay attention to Banners every word.
In a borderline schizophrenic way, Banner tells a story about this conversation he had with this ghost that motivated him to rebel (in a nutshell). he starts off pretty dope lyrically, but then loses control by the end of it continuously saying ‘Cracker’.
Cee-lo tells his own story on the second verse, and he talks about those crooked cops that shoot us black people down. As you can imagine, he sounds like a weirdo too, but his part is still very effective.
The song is full of passionate singing, organic sounding instruments, and angry black dudes.
