This song sounds a lot like a mixture between ‘Can’t Hold Us’, and ‘Same Love’ to me, as the beat has both this gentle and marching sound.
As usual, Mack has this pep to his step energy-wise, giving a very spirited performance lyrically. I’ve always felt that Macklemore is good at taking the energy from a song and running with it on his verses.
