Statik Selektah had a good two days hasn’t he? three Joey Bada$$ songs, and a new track featuring 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa.
This beat definitely fits Wiz’s style (historically), but it might be a bit of a stretch for 2 Chainz (That doesn’t mean that 2 Chainz doesn’t kill it, because he does!) On Tity Boi’s part, he takes advantage of the bossy beat by dropping some real n–a quotes to abide by. 2 Chainz is certainly one of the realest out there, it is just his goofy delivery that throws me off sometimes.
I know I say this all the time, but you get vintage Wiz on this song! He’s taking his time with each bar, and most importantly spitting some real n–a s–t too. This is the type of Wiz that when he talks you listen.
Something about beats like this bring out the humility in n—az.
