I always thought ‘Flap your Wings’ by Nelly should’ve been remixed by someone a looooong time ago!
I know Justine from ScHoolBoy Q’s ‘Overtime’ song from his last album, and I absolutely loved her on it! On this song, she has majority of it to herself, and she shines bright. Justine flexes her vocals throughout, showing us passion, joy, and sexiness through her voice.
Jeremih is featured on the song, but he plays more of a supportive role. Yes Mih sings a bit on it, but I get the sense that his sole purpose is to add that male perspective to the song.
This song is a lot more gentle than ‘Flap your Wings’. Nelly was pretty inconsiderate on the original, over here telling a human being to do the impossible and flap something GOD ain’t bless us with!
