D.R.A.M. – Ill Nana (Ft. Trippie Redd) (Review & Stream)

D.R.A.M. recruits Fetty Wap Jr. for ‘Ill Nana’.

D.R.A.M. is one of those artists that are low key talented, but he just seems a little too goofy to take seriously. With ‘Ill Nana’, the rapper does approach the track a lot more seriously then he has in the last couple of months, dropping this heavily melodized hook and verse. He rides the beat pretty well, even though he sounds like a 50 year old pimp that’s in the club trying to compliment a 23 year old.

Trippie Redd has been blowing up lately, despite the fact that his music is the most erratic s–t I’ve heard in my life. On this particular song, he is far from tamed, singing in the background like a n—a that just woke up to find out his favorite football team won an overtime stunner while he was sleeping.

This song is dumb, but at the same time catchy as f–k! How is D.R.A.M. able to make so many songs that follow this formula like this?
