Why does the idea of Fetty Wap rapping still excite me?
DJ Jayhood was clearly looking to create an anthem with ‘Got The Load’, as he combined this riveting instrumental with some pretty legendary flows on his verse. The confidence is there, especially when he drops that whole ‘Peter Piper picked some peppers’ flow in the beginning of his part.
This is one of the tougher Fetty Wap features I’ve heard in a while, as he raps with this aggressive tone throughout both his verse and the hook. Even though it’s hard to understand the s–t he’s saying, I love the melody he uses.
Will we ever give Fetty his props for changing the rap game?
