Skaa – Calling (Review & Stream)

Skaa refuses to let the distractions (aka troublesome women) get to him in this  highly infectious track titled, “Calling.”

Known for his relentless bars and wise words, Skaa switches up his style a bit for “Calling,” dropping something for us that is both somber and vulnerable sounding.

From the moment you press play on the track, you can tell Skaa heard the beat and decided to get lost in it, because he’s singing with this dimming approach that perfectly fits the somber tone of the instrumental. Aside from the vibes of the record, I think the Boston native was able to build this strong connection with the listeners through his lyrics, keeping it real about a situation that several different men have dealt with before. All in all, “Calling” is one of the more creative tracks  from Skaa — one that promotes the idea of being ‘focused’ through some very enjoyable music.
