You know what I love about songs like these? They bring together two rappers that have their subtle differences, and each get to emulate the others style. On ‘Era,’ listeners get a version of Dave East that is a bit more fixated on his wordplay, while Royce Da 5’9 focuses on his grittiness a bit more. Combining the two makes for this cypher like cut, one that is encouraged by the D-Boy like instrumental by Premier.
March 16 will be a major day for REAL Hip Hop.
