Joey Bada$$ has entered ‘He can do whatever the hell he wants to do’ stage.
Mr. Bada$$ has shown this astute ability to drop serious bars when he wants to, but this time around, he focuses on infectious melodies and a real ass subject matter to guide him through. Despite the track taking certain elements from Prince’s “When Doves Cry,” for the most part, it sounds nothing like the classic Prince tune.
Thugs only cry after a serious tragedy or a really good ’30 for 30′ episode.
