Ratings Game Album Reviews: The Rest Of The Pack (1/30 – 2/5)

It was Super bowl weekend, I couldn’t get to all this s–t!

GUNNA – DRIP SEASON 3 (8.1/10)

Gunna is back with ‘Drip Season 3,’ and he is as entertaining as it gets on it! With big name features like Thugger, Lil Uzi Vert, NAV, and more, Gunna was able to create this high powered trap project that I think is surprisingly good lyrically. Aside from that, I feel like you can hear the influence of Young Thug on this album, as Gunna raps over a few beats I think the ATL rockstar would rap over. All in all, if you want a project that you have bumpin’ in the background, I suggest you give “Drip Season 3” a look.

YOUNG SIZZLE – TRAP YE SEAzON 2 (7.4/10)

What’s up with all these damn seasons this week?

Typically when a producer turnt rapper drops a project, they take it easy, probably laying out a lil somethin’ somethin’ with only a few songs and a lot of features — not Young Sizzle. On “Trap Ye Seazon 2,” the super producer delivers in all rap fronts, playing the part of trap rapper pretty damn effectively.  Will you find me bumpin’ this 20 track project? Probably not, but if you aren’t doing anything, listen to how a ‘big time’ producer can turn into ‘solid rapper’ practically overnight.
