Raury is a talented S.O.B., but it feels like he’s involved in an industry that doesn’t quite allow him to illuminate the way he should be. In “Odyssey,” he addresses some of these frustrations, passionately rapping over this emotional instrumental. While I appreciate the subject matter he chose to discuss on this song, the track might be a little too humdrum for my liking.
