Reviews of a couple of albums I skimmed through. This list features new albums from Arian Foster, YFN Lucci, Lil Baby and more.
YFN LUCCI – SEE NO EVIL – B
YFN Lucci continues to prove his passion and preacher like singing can get the job done on this 4 track EP titled “See No Evil.” It was also pretty interesting to hear him remix some of the major songs that are currently on rotation like “Nice For What” and “Who Run It.”
BOBBY FEENO (AKA ARIAN FOSTER) – FLAMINGO AND KOVAL – B
Arian Foster had quite the career in the NFL, but it seems like he disappeared quietly and quickly. I’m glad to announce that he has returned back into the public eye, but this time as a rapper by the name of ‘Bobby Feeno’ (What the f**k?). I have to admit, he plays the part very well, showing great stage presence, rapping with phenomenal flows and touching on some pretty deep topics. Aside from that, I love the instrumentals he decided to rap over, giving us s**t that ranges from soulful to flat-out old school. I’m impressed.
Arian sorta sounds like Cole.
BOOSIE BADAZZ – BOONK GANG – C
No one wants to hear 20 songs from Boosie Badazz, right?. On top of that, no one wants to hear Boosie Badazz rap over some of the hottest beats out either, right? Well I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with this mixtape, as the Louisiana spitter was able to keep my attention by taking command of each song by instilling his own flair into them. And as for the length of the track: Majority of the songs are less than 3 minutes, so you won’t be wasting too much time.
POO BEAR – POO BEAR PRESENTS: BEARTHDAY MUSIC – B
Poo Bear has been teasing this album for quite some time now, and on Friday, it finally dropped to little fanfare. That’s a shame, because this album features some really good artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber & even Ty Dolla $ign. Aside from that, you get some international s**t, slow jamz and straight up pop bangers throughout this project, and they are all infectious. You should definitely give this album a listen.
LIL BABY – 4 POCKETS – N/A
I hear Lil Baby say “4 Pockets” a lot. Well apparently “4 Pockets” means 0 tracks on an EP. Yes, see below, 0 songs to this EP…. I couldn’t rate it, ya’ll!
