Dave East and his East Mixes have been pretty impressive these last couple of months. What I like most about them is that they typically give your everyday radio record this lyrical touch that the originators of the song simply couldn’t offer. That’s what you get with “Maybach” — A remix to BlocBoy’s “Rover” track that features Dave East going ham about a variety of topics such as his disgust for snitches, the work he put in while he was in the streets, and the many ways he deals with his newfound fortune. Not only does he deliver some pretty aggressive lyrics, but he also implements some of the flows that BlocBoy used on his version of the song.
