“Are You Okay?,” a song from Mark Schirmacher’s “Bird In Your Tree” album, is as special as it gets. On it, Mark was able to combine both rock and folk elements together to create this gem that is gentle in nature yet exuberant enough to keep your soul enlivened.
The biggest thing that stood out to me about this song was the lyrical content: It’s passionate yet simplistic, and sentimental yet personable. It’s almost like the key elements to this song are polar opposites of each other, which I think creates two different perspectives you can view this song with.
