YBN Cordae preaches better than any hood pastor you or I know.
YBN Cordae reminds me of an a lot less complicated Earl Sweatshirt: They both spit some serious knowledge whenever they hop on the mic, and rap with this style that is comparable to old school Eminem. Since Earl Sweatshirt has been M.I.A. for the last couple of years, all we have left is YBN Cordae — and I ain’t mad at it. In “Fighting Temptations,” the Maryland born phenom lets the world know that he is all the way woke when it comes to what is going on in the streets, giving us two punchline heavy/whimsical verses that both knocks and cuts deep. Damnit YBN, why you got me all emotional here?
