Vic Mensa loses his mind over that one Enya classic we’ve learned to love.
Vic Mensa raps like his life depends on it. He shows so much passion and determination. He also doesn’t waste bars, which is one of the reasons I believe he’s a J.Cole reincarnate. Anyway, on this song, the Chicago spitter gets a chance to let the world know about a few demons he’s battled in the last couple of years, going into great detail when it comes to specific events such as the time he cracked a bottle on someone’s head in Toronto, the diminishing health of his parents, and his mental health issues. If you ask me, the song feels more like a therapy session than an actual freestyle.
