Alessia Cara Livens Things Up With “Trust My Lonely” (Review & Stream)

Alessia Cara’s outfit on the artwork to this song looks like some Rugrats trying to impersonate grown folks s**t.

Alessia Cara’s last couple of singles haven’t quite been the liveliest. Today, all that changed, because she has decided to release this fun/quirky new track that has her taking a few steps back and realizing she’s worth more than what her lover thinks she’s worth. I love how the track mixes characteristics from pop, alternative and hip hop music rather nicely. I also enjoy how loose our hero is both vocally and lyrically, never really holding back her true feelings.

Can you imagine being the director to this video? All you have to tell Alessia is to act a fool for like four minutes.

OVERALL RATING (5/5)
