Teyana Taylor’s “Gonna Love Me” Gets A Wu-Tang Revamp (Review & Stream)

The original version of “Gonna Love Me” is one of my top 5 R&B tracks this year.

I’m one of the people that thought Teyana Taylor’s K.T.S.E. album was damn good. It had soul, passion, and fresh ass Kanye West beats (How can you not like that). My favorite song off of the album, “Gonna Love,” which has the three characteristics I just described, has drawn the attention of many rappers in the industry, with the Wu-Tang clan being one of them. Today, along with Teyana, they decided to drop a remix to the track, and thankfully, it features only the important members. They each play gritty partners that promise their chicks that they’re going to give them the world while dismissing the pursuers.  The song sounds authentically vintage — so much so, I began scavenging through my old mixtapes to listen to more old school hip hop love songs after listening to it..
