Alessia Cara’s Taking Her Time With Life On “Not Today” (Review & Stream)

Alessia Cara has her Steve Harvey suit on in the artwork for this single (His size and everything).

Alessia Cara has been gifting us with new music sporadically these last couple of months, with each of them giving off unique vibes. Today, she decided to drop one of her most unique efforts to-date called “Not Today” (Ironically). The song boasts this topsy-turvy sound instrumentally, in addition to a mix of gleeful and somber vocals from Cara throughout. Content-wise, our hero ensures the world that her long-term ambitions are set, she’s simply not ready to pursue them right now through some truly honest lyrics. Overall, I love the timeless feel of the song, and definitely appreciate the message behind it.

Alessia Cara is special!
