Lamonte Keeps It 100 in “*inthecut/box 100’s” (Review & Stream)

Lamonte isn’t stressing a damn thing in his bars.

I think it’s fairly obvious that rap is easy for Lamonte. Whether it’s putting the pen to pad or dropping a freestyle, it seems like he’s always on, something you gotta love if you are a true rap fan. In “inthecut,” his latest single, he gives us nothing but bars, utilizing gaudy punchlines and impregnable flows to get his opinion across on fake friends, scandalous women and making it out of his hood. I f**k with the aggression/confidence our hero raps with throughout, as he almost comes across like a hungrier version of Big Sean.

“box 100’s” is a freestyle, and trust me, you’re going to wonder how. It features some pretty good wordplay and serious lyrical content. Matter of fact, the way Lamonte plows through the gentle instrumental he was served with on this song is damn there astonishing.

I wonder if Lamonte is even human?
