Common is going at the throats of the young whipper snappers in the game in “Hercules.”
Just when you thought Common turned into a guy who only makes Microsoft commercials and random movie appearances, he turned the clock back, gifting us with a few new tracks that has him spitting harder than horny n***as at club Tao. In “Hercules,” Common spits as hard as he’s ever spit, challenging his peers to lyrical brouhahas and keeping s**t real when it comes to living free and grandiose. As for Swizz Beatz, he plays a smooth hypeman on the track, giving the track a melodic feel on both the hook and his adlibs.
Common’s name gets forgotten a lot when it comes to greatest rappers of all time.
