“Old Town Road” is clearly the new hangout spot.
Lil Nas X’s fame is astonishing. The fact that he’s been able to top the charts through an experimental effort is f**king crazy, to me! In “Old Town Road (Remix),” the recently outed singer (Congrats to him) looks to continue to juice the f**k out of his cash cow, calling on Young Thug and Mason Ramsey to help him shake s**t up with it a little. While both add very bizarre contributions to the song (Young Thug bounces between three personalities on his verse, while Mason out-swags every black person walking the planet earth on his), the magic of this unexpected gem still comes from Nas’ ability to get us hyped up off of a country accent.
Imagine if “Old Town Road” was a song that DIDN’T get played out…
