Dave East & Max B Link Up For “Wanna Be A G”

Dave East is easily the best hood storyteller in rap today.

Dave East and Max B are major staples in Harlem, so it only makes sense that they link up for a song together — “Wanna Be A G” is that song. On it, the two hood prophets talk about a few stories revolving around hustling, robbing and staying true to the street code. Personally, the song isn’t the most enjoyable, as East comes across as drowsy in his bars, while Max B sounds a bit muddled on his lone verse. Nonetheless, the old school beat that powers this song is great, and the lyrical content that both rappers give us is nothing less than real.

Is Max B out of jail? How are his verses so f**king clear-sounding?
