Never did I think Nick Cannon would make Obie Trice relevant again.
The beef between Eminem and Nick Cannon has been boring. Not only has the diss records been underwhelming from everyone involved in it, but the Twitter jabs have also been lame. Today, Obie Trice, Eminem’s shooter, decided to heat the beef up by dropping the fiery SpankyHayes 2.
SpankyHayes 2 features a dark instrumental, a few lyrical jabs at Nick Cannon’s gangsta/baby mother, and some pretty solid wordplay (Obie Trice has always been amazing at wordplay). While Obie sounds a lot more vicious in this song than he did in SpankyHayes, he still sounds way too laidback for my liking.
I love how Obie Trice calls out Suge Knight at the end of this song. (There is no reason Suge should’ve called Nick Cannon the new Pac)
