I don’t know about you, but I love Charlie Wilson! Sure, he’s old enough to be my grandfather, but his music is fun, energetic, heartwarming, and romantic. “Forever Valentine,” Charlie’s latest single, embodies all four of these qualities perfectly.
Valentine’s Day feels like a setup by retailers to make brothers spend big bucks on stuff we don’t really need. But if you’re after some romance, you gotta play along. In “Forever Valentine,” Charlie Wilson elevates the holiday, suggesting we celebrate it every day—a notion I don’t quite buy into. Nevertheless, Wilson delivers an amazing vocal performance, Bruno Mars adds stellar background vocals, and the vibe, reminiscent of “Step In The Name Of Love,” will have you dancing non-stop. How can I hate on that?
If you know how to get down with the get down, mingle with a single, slide with a glide, or croon with a spoon (Whatever the hell that means), you will enjoy “Forever Valentine.”
