Polo G & Lil Tjay Reunite For “First Place”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Polo G and Lil TJay are undefeated.

The very first track I heard by Polo G happened to be the very first track I heard by Lil Tjay: “Pop Out.” For me, the duo will always be linked to one another, even though they don’t cross paths as much these days.

The good news is this: Polo and Tjay recently reunited for a new single called “First Place.” It’s not “Pop Out,” but it’s still solid.

Polo G and Lil Tjay have more horror stories to tell than Stephen King, making their music captivating as hell. That said, in “First Place,” the two rappers talk about friends who turned into snakes, jobs that got messy, and guns that went off due to disrespect (Yikes). They do also pay homage to those who have been loyal to them for years.

With its emotionally charged production, “First Place” features Polo and Tjay delivering their bars with a melancholy sound that will convince you that someone is cutting ghetto onions in the next room.

Give “First Place” a shot below.
