Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Yachty & Sueco The Child Link Up For “Speed Me Up”

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.

The music video for this song took me back to my snotty-nose days.

If you had told me when I was ten that a Sonic movie was coming out, I would’ve lost my mind. These days, though, I’m too bogged down with bills to get that excited. Nevertheless, fans of the blue hedgehog have a lot to look forward to. To build the hype even more, the filmmakers have released a single from the soundtrack called “Speed Me Up,” featuring Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Yachty, and Sueco The Child.

Although I’m not a fan of pigeonholing artists like Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, and Lil Yachty (which is clearly what happened here), I do think the trio—especially Wiz—delivered contributions that were catchy, fun, energetic, and slightly trill in “Speed Me Up.” As for Sueco The Child, he was the only artist who brought a tough rap edge to the song, in my opinion.

F**k this song. What about the music video for it!? (That s**t is dope as f**k!)
