Burna Boy Enters 2020 With “Odogwu”

ODOGWU

Burna Boy

OVERALL RATING (???)

I have an unhealthy obsession with Burna Boy’s music.

What I love most about Burna Boy is that he is able to combine modern AfroBeats music with old school African Jazz. “Odogwu,” his latest single, will show you exactly what I’m talking about.

“Odogwu” sounds like a sacred song. On it, you get an instrumental that has a heavy bop and tons of jungly feels. As for Burna Boy, in the song, he stands tall by gifting us with vocals that are brute, melodies that are infectious, and lyrics that are beyond grandiose.

Burna Boy could’ve played the bad guy on Guava Island.
