Kehlani is always in some kind of sticky situation with someone.

Kehlani has consistently released music about her poor romantic relationships these last couple of months. With that being said, today, the Oakland singer decided to drop a brand new single called “Toxic” that has her singing soulfully about missing an ex that was good for her body but bad for her mental health.

The hook to “Toxic” is unbelievably infectious. Yes, I get it, it’s pretty simple sounding, but the passion Kehlani shows on it will draw you in. As for lyrically, ‘Lani shines by being her honest, brash, and unapologetic self throughout the song. When it’s all said and done, you can’t be mad at someone who shows high levels of vulnerability in their music.
