Lil Durk and G Herbo are Chicago kings. While the former likes to show off his melodic side in his music from time to time, the latter tends to go hard in the paint every time he hops on a mic. On “Chiraq Demons,” the two friends are on the same page — a murderous page.
“Chiraq Demons” features a sinister instrumental that you might hear on a classic horror movie. Over it, G Herbo and Lil Durk trade bars about revenge murders, the stealing of baby mamas, and the shaking down of ops. What I love most about the song is that both rappers spit their bars on it relentlessly, which has them coming across like gangstas with rabies.
Even after we flatten the COVID-19 curve, I still don’t think I’m going to either Lil Durk or G Herbo’s hood.
