H.E.R. Releases “Wrong Places”

WRONG PLACES

H.E.R.

OVERALL RATING (?????)

As expected, H.E.R. killed her guest appearance on Songland.

I have reason to believe that H.E.R. has an opportunity to go down as one of the greatest to ever do it. While she is a fantastic singer, it is her songwriting abilities that catch my attention the most. With that being said, “Wrong Places,” H.E.R.’s latest single, is a song she actually didn’t write.

Though “Wrong Places” was written by Raquel Castro, it takes on H.E.R.’s style. Not only does it feature production that is somber, but you also get a version of the Vallejo singer that is soulful, vulnerable, and love-struck. If I’m being completely honest with you, the writing on this song is just as good as the singing.

H.E.R. is amazing.
