Dylan Stevens isn’t just an outstanding singer/songwriter, he’s also someone that has quite an imagination. On his latest body of work, 4AM Forever, Dylan gifts us with music that is vivid, cinematic, and beyond riveting. One of my favorite songs from the album is “Carnivorous.”
If you love horror movies as I do, “Carnivorous” should catch your attention. The song features this instrumental that straddles the line between terrifying and vivacious, a vocal performance that straddles the line between heart-wrenching and exhilarating, and lyrics that straddle the line between bizarre and genius. While so many musicians tackle love and heartbreak from generic point-of-views, I appreciate the fact that Dylan tackles the topics from a freakish point-of-view.
