Casanova is one of the few rappers in the game that I‘m sure would slap the mess out of you if you talked greasy to him. Not only has he been to jail numerous times, but he has stated in several interviews that he was running s**t when he was there. With that being said, on “Stress,” Cass shows us a side to him that is vulnerable, woke, and probably constipated.
I love it when gritty rappers spit bars over some soulful s**t; fortunately, that is exactly what happens in “Stress.” Over this beat that is more dramatic than gangsta, Casanova opens up about his relationship with Pop Smoke, wanting to buy a house for his mom, and abusing drugs. Every single word on the song sounds like it came from the New Yorker’s soul.
