Lecrae Returns With “Deep End”

DEEP END

Lecrae

OVERALL RATING (????)

We all need to listen to more Lecrae during these turbulent times.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to appreciate Lecrae’s music more and more. Not only does he speak to my soul with lyrics that are beyond powerful, but he also knows how to make music that is high-quality. Today, the so-called Christan rapper has decided to release “Deep End” — a single off of his upcoming album that has him letting the world know that he is working on himself, that he’s trying to find peace in a world full of toxins, and that he is in need of a hug (Awww, I give out free hugs, ‘Crae).

Though Lecrae’s charm permeates throughout “Deep End,” as a whole, I feel like the song imitates Drake’s “Chicago Freestyle.”
