Not a single soul is making music like Brent Faiyaz.
If you want to fully understand Brent Faiyaz’s music, you have to take hard drugs. With that being said, before I pressed play on “Dead Man Walking,” I made sure to sniff a few magic markers (I’m joking, guys).
“Dead Man Walking” is powered by an intoxicating instrumental. Over it, Brent Faiyaz blesses us with lyrics that will make you want to live life on the edge. He also blesses us with both a silky smooth and infectious vocal performance.
Though it sounds like “Dead Man Walking” never truly gets started, I do consider the song to be one of the best releases this week.
