SONGS
1. INVINCIBLE GIRL
“Invincible Girl” is the most commercially accessible song on this EP. It’s energetic and humorous with notable pop-rock vibes.
“Invincible Girl” puts a focus on female empowerment. Throughout the song, the lead singer in the band talks about a girl he knows that is an awesomely fantastic superhero that he is madly in love with.
You gotta enjoy the spirit that powers “Invincible Girl.”
2. WHERE ARE ALL MY DOGS AT
“Where Are All My Dogs At” is an uplifting anthem for indie rock misfits.
“Where Are All My Dogs At” is for fans of post-punk and alternative rock (think Jack White/ White Stripes), especially when the lead vocals go for a full-throated roar.
This buddy song reminds us that nothing beats the support of our good friends — the steady rocks that stick with us through the highs and lows that life throws at us.
3. SUPER HERO ORIGIN STORY
“Super Hero Origin Story” is my favorite song from Invincible Dog Story.
“Super Hero Origin Story” is unapologetically strange but also uplifting. It is also the most dynamic track on the EP, as, it bounces through rock subgenres in compelling ways.
“Super Hero Origin” focuses on the harsh realities of growing up and coming to terms with the world as it is and leaving the security blanket of childhood behind to focus on making things better; not just for ourselves, but for humanity.

While Invincible Dog Story may seem like a bizarre journey at times, it weaves through rock subgenres seamlessly with a unique sense of humor. This trio’s new EP is definitely worth a listen; whether you’re an indie-rock fan or just looking for something non-conforming and quirky.
