Jeff Roland

Jeff Roland has such a beautiful soul.

Jeff Roland is a French painter that likes to drop covers of classic songs from time to time. Sometimes he gives us solo efforts, while other times, he makes music with his band The Gemini Conspiracy. This particular night, in front of his social media audience, he decided to play one of his favorite songs, “A Whiter Shade Of Pale” by Procol Harum.

As you may know, “A Whiter Shade of Pale” is a beautifully-written song. According to Procol Harum’s chief lyricist, the 1967 hit vividly describes a romantic encounter that went awry. In Jeff’s cover of the song, through his hypnotizing vocals and accurate coverage of the melodies, he does a fantastic job of bringing out the pain, the mournfulness, and the honesty that Procol Harum was trying to depict on the original version.
