Russ Pours His Heart Out In “Bankrupt”

????????

Russ

??? ?????? (????)

Even though I think that Russ is a better rapper than he is a singer, I cherish the smooth R&B joints like “Bankrupt” that he drops every once in a while.

If you are a Russ fan, you are properly fed. It seems like you get a new release from him every other week. Today, the Atlanta-based rapper decided to release “Bankrupt,” yet another song in which he flexes his vocal skills.

I’m going to be completely honest with you, I doubt that I will play this “Bankrupt” track again. Don’t get me wrong, I f**k with the message behind the song (Russ talks about being in a funk after a relationship he was in went by the wayside), but I don’t quite f**k with how dull he sounds, the plain beat, or the blahzay-blahzay melody that he blesses us with. In other words, Russ sounds very uninspired on this song (He probably tried to sound mundane on purpose, but hey, I can say I don’t like something if I don’t like it).

Judge “Bankrupt” for yourself by pressing play on the song below.
