“Beyond The Stars” might be my favorite Güz Erdem release to date.

I am a major fan of Güz Erdem. His songs tend to ease my mind, calm my nerves, and make me think outside of the box when it comes to music. While I thoroughly enjoyed both “Ascendence” and “Transcendence,” I have to say, my favorite song by him might just be his latest release “Beyond The Stars.”

“Beyond The Stars” starts with raindrops that feel like the calm before the storm. A few seconds later, you get to hear the song’s instrumental bloom into a full-blown adventure that is filled with everything from therapeutic vibes to edgy rock vibes to mystical vibes. The instrumental also features a tempo that will make you tap your feet on the ground from the moment that you press play on the song until the very end.

You get a very strong vocal performance by Güz in “Beyond The Stars.” Even though he has our souls at his mercy, he chooses to be gentle with them, as he blesses us with a tender vocal performance and very soothing melodies throughout the song. I do warn you, though: Once you are under his spell, it is very hard to break out of it.

According to Güz, he created “Beyond The Stars” by combining environmental sounds that were happening around his house (Such as wind blowing and rain falling). He also stated that he relied on a few additions such as guzheng, koto, erhu, and a full strings symphony to make the song.
