I am both happy and sad that Jorja Smith is poppin’ right now. While I am a fan of the music that she has been releasing as of late, I hate the fact that we don’t get to spend more time together (Y’all didn’t know, Jorja Smith is my second wife). With the release of “Gone,” the UK singer’s latest single, Jorja proves to the world that she can’t be touched when it comes to making soul-clenching music.
“Gone” is pretty somber. The song features a sobering vocal performance, lyrics that will make you rethink the relationships that you have with the people that you love, and an instrumental that does everything in its power to hypnotize your mind, body, and soul. If you are dragging yourself to the finish line of this Monday, you may want to skip it…
