Samaria Takes Us on a Dark Emotional Journey With “Out The Away”

OUT THE WAY

Samaria

RGM RATING (????????)

The personal touch is felt in every single line with Samaria’s deeply emotional vocals.

Bay Area native Samaria is a singer and songwriter with a heart over head approach to her songwriting. She also likes to mix raw emotions with warm vocals. Samaria grew up listening to 90s and 00s R&B and pop music by artists such as Aaliyah, Destiny’s Child, and Justin Timberlake. Her passion for music was encouraged by her late grandmother and eventually led to her getting noticed by a prominent West Coast producer who produced her debut EP The Story of Right Now. She has since released well-received singles like “Foolish,” “Shy Girl,” and “Santa’s October.” Her latest single is “Out The Way.”

This angsty R&B track explores a woman’s problematic relationship. According to Samaria, “Out The Way” was inspired by old messages between her and an ex-boyfriend. Samaria’s heartfelt transparency takes “Out The Way” to another level. The authenticity here is genuine and soulful, and the smooth and warm sounds are complementary to Samaria’s powerful voice. This is the kind of R&B love song I want to hear, one that flows with passion and spirit that connects with each listener.
