I can honestly say that I’ve never heard a rapper like Joye Marelyn before. In the few songs that I’ve pressed play on by him, he’s shown an uncanny ability to be enjoyably unpredictable. In Joye’s latest single, “Woodlands,” he bounces off walls.
“Woodlands” is less than two minutes long; no need to worry, Joye accomplishes a lot in that brief time. Not only does he hit us with all kinds of flows, but he also entertains us with his animated deliveries. The icing on the cake is Joye’s intriguing lyrics about sex, guns, and alcohol.
