Jazmine Sullivan Takes The Petty Route In “Tragic”

TRAGIC

RGM RATING (????????)

Jazmine Sullivan is at her best when she’s being petty.

How good is Jazmine Sullivan (That’s a rhetorical question)? If her last project, Heaux Tales, isn’t on your shortlist of best albums of 2021, you might have a lethal amount of wax dislodged in your ears. In the event that you didn’t listen to Heaux Tales, go ahead and give Jazmine’s latest release, “Tragic,” a shot below.

Of course, Jazmine Sullivan complains about a lover in “Tragic” (What else is new?). Throughout the song, she talks about potentially kicking a dude to the curb because he isn’t holding his weight in their relationship. As expected, Jazmine’s vocals are so powerful, they eeked through my soul without trying. I do find it interesting that the song has a nice tempo and isn’t all gloomy.

I think Jazmine Sullivan should think about being asexual.
