“Masterpiece” really is a masterpiece.
C-Nice is a rapper from Long Beach that has been doing his thing for a while now. One of his most notable works is “Do For Me” which received heavy airplay from local radio station 93.5 K-DAY more than a decade ago. Prior to “Masterpiece,” he also released the tracks “Small Talk” and “The Recoup” which also gained enormous attention.
Everything about “Masterpiece” is great. I love the song’s laidback instrumental, the soulful/contagious hook that featured guest Jae Santana blesses us with, and lastly, C-Nice’s well-thought-out/perfectly delivered/effortlessly romantic raps. When you combine everything that I just mentioned, what you end up with is a timeless rap/r&B gem that never lets up in infectious vibes.
“Masterpiece” is a flawless, smooth summertime banger and is easily one of the best songs that I’ve heard this year.
