Now that J. Cole’s The Fall Off is out of the way, we should all be excited about the next project that Dreamville has to offer. If I were to guess, the label will now focus all of their energy on EarthGang’s forthcoming album Ghetto Gods. Today, the Atlanta duo decided to release “Erykah,” a track in which they spit bars over Erykah Badu’s classic “Window Seat” beat.
The “Window Seat” beat is so f**king good! In “Erykah,” EarthGang hits us with both gritty and melodic raps, reminding the world how wise, sly, and unbothered they are. While the song sounds like a freestyle, to me, I do love the fact that you get to hear so much of their talent on it.
