RGM RATING (????????)

A mesmerizing hip-hop track that beautifully combines atmospheric and punchy elements.

Olympia, Washington-based up-and-coming music artist, Prodi. J, is a 17-year-old rapper whose passion for his craft is a driving force for his work. His musical influences are Nipsey Hussle, Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, and Kendrick Lamar. Prodi. J’s latest release is the hip-hop single “Party’s Over.” According to Prodi. J, his new tune “was written after a huge party was thrown in my city. A mass of people attended the party and I decided to write a song about what happened when I was stepping in.”

“Party’s Over” starts out with some hypnotic vocals before Prodi. J dives in with some well-delivered reflective bars. Nothing about the experience ever feels too heavy, the breaks between Prodi. J’s verses and the atmospheric tones keep the track flowing nicely and feeling consistently fresh. It’s amazing that Prodi. J is only in his late teens; his talent combined with his skills for compiling a satisfying party vibe track are unmistakable. Check out “Party’s Over” and keep the energy at a steady high.
