RGM RATING (????????)

Russ definitely gets his Donovan Mitchell on in “Utah Freestyle.”

Drake is so powerful, his Certified Lover Boy release was able to stop Russ’s sixteen-week new single release streak. Well, the Atlanta-based rapper is back, and unfortunately, he is cockier than ever in his new single “Utah Freestyle.”

You get ‘God-level MC’ Russ in “Utah Freestyle.” Over a booming beat that would make 2001 Dr. Dre proud, he drops bars about his money-making, gangsta, hard-working, and heartbreak ways. While I respect the hell out of the flows that he raps with on the song, at the end of the day, his punchlines are what blew me away.

Listen to “Utah Freestyle.”
